    I have been unable to find approved recipes for a few things I would like to pressure can...
    1. Spaghetti sauce with meat
    2. Sloppy joes with ground beef
    3. Chili Verde with pork
    4. Ham and potato soup base

      Chile verde with pork and Sloppy joe options
      (1) Follow the recipe for chile con carne http://nchfp.uga.edu/how/can_05/chili_con_carne.html. You can leave out the beans and the result should be very close to sloppy joe with beef. For chili verde with pork, you can also leave out the beans and replace the tomatoes with tomatillos and replace the ground beef with pork (ground or cubed to less than 1/2 inch). Note: it is safe to tweak the dry spices a little by substitution. Reminder: don't add flour or thickeners.
